  1. Olde Mecklenburg Brewery

This is one of the best and most popular breweries in the area, everyone knows what it is. Oftentimes referred to as OMB, this is a brewery made for everyone. If you’re just looking for a couple of colds one, or you’re looking to have a birthday celebration here, you can.

They have a large list of their homemade craft beers that everyone loves. If you’re into trying craft beers, you have to try OMB!

  1. NoDa Brewing Company

NoDa is the second oldest brewery in Charlotte, as well as the most successful one in the area. They’ve created the most award-winning craft beers out of any other brewery in the city.

Their Gordgeous pumpkin beer won a festival Gold medal in both 2018 and 2020. This is a must-stop if you’re in the area!

Legion Brewing is mostly known for its Juicy Jay craft beer, which is now sold in cans! They have a wide variety of craft beers that everyone that goes there loves. This brewery gives you family-run vibes, and that’s why we love it so much!

  1. Birdsong Brewing Company

This brewery started back in 2011 with just two employees. Now, they’re in a 17,000 square foot building in the heart of Charlotte.

They have a wide variety of popular beers, their most popular being their Jalapeno Pale Ale, this is a great place for newbies in the craft beer world, and experts in the craft beer world.

  1. Heist Brewery

This brewery isn’t just for beer lovers, it’s a great place if you’re looking for some cocktails too. This brewery serves pub food and craft beers and features an industrial-style patio that has indoor and outdoor seating.

In 2016, they made what was soon to be their most famous beer, Hazy IPA.

  1. Lenny Boy Brewing Co.

From wild ales, to sour beers, and even kombucha, this brewery has it all! This brewery proved that the sour beers and ales could survive, and they even upgraded to a bigger warehouse in 2016.

Their most famous craft beers are their Lost Rose Kombucha and their Elite Beet – may sound weird but they are AMAZING!

The one thing people always know about this brewery is that they have a famous beer called the Baby Maker, which has a 9% ABV rating, and apparently, it’s named pretty appropriately.

This brewery recently opened a second location, so I guess you could say business is going well! This brewery is known for its Good Morning Vietnam craft beer that’s a blonde ale made with vanilla beans. Yum!

This brewery welcomes dogs, kids, friends, and family – it doesn’t get much better than that! With a huge focus on community, Free Range Brewing has built its legacy on small-batch beers, food-focused events, and live music!

Run by women, the Bold Missy is the cities only female-owned brewery. Each beer they create is named after a female who has helped to make a difference in our world.

When you step into this brewery, you’ll be surrounded by wood – they have wood-fermented, wood paneling, and wood-age beers. This brewery is known for experimenting with new and different beer ingredients.

One of their most popular beers is their Zest Intentions, a kettle sour witbier with lemon, lime, orange, and grapefruit juices and zests – sounds strange, but let us tell you… you need to try it!

A little quirky and artsy, but that’s why we love it! This brewery is a completely different vibe than most breweries. They serve everything you can ever want in a beer list, from sours to stouts.
